Ayurvedic Yoga for Spring
This month we’ll be focusing on warmth, flexibility and lightening, as we prepare to welcome spring, known as Kapha season in Ayurveda.
Kapha is made of the elements of earth and water, and when imbalanced, kapha can be heavy, damp, cold and stagnant. A metaphor for kapha is mud; easily found in the spring, with the melting snow and plenty of rain. During the next few months it's likely we will experience these qualities in excess, both within us and in nature around us.
This kapha-balancing style of yoga is built from foundational principles of Ayurveda. We will move through a flow that creates warmth in the body, increases flexibility and encourages lightness to release stagnant and heavy energy that may have accumulated from the long winter months.
**All are welcome! Both new & experienced students.
Location: Virtual on Zoom (a link will be sent to you before class)
Dates: Thursdays March 3rd and 10th
Time: 7:00 - 8:00 pm EST
Cost: $25 if you sign up for both OR $15 drop-in (per class)
